An FBI bribery and corruption investigation into City Hall is focusing on payments contractors made to a consulting firm headed by Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's father, persons familiar with the investigation told The Detroit News.
At least one witness has told FBI agents that the mayor gave directions to certain prospective city contractors that they should work through his father, Bernard N. Kilpatrick, two persons familiar with the investigation told The News.
