Sarah Palin Thinks Rainbow Dreams And Monkey Farts Created The World

Palin's religious views follow evangelical model

Sarah Palin's record shows a strong faith in Bible and prayer. She supports teaching creationism, outlawing abortion and banning same-sex marriage.

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA - In June, long before she was selected as the Republican nominee for vice president, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin attended a gathering at the Wasilla Assembly of God, her former church.

Speaking to the college-age graduates of the church's Master's Commission ministry, the governor reminisced about growing up in the fellowship -- "getting saved here, getting baptized" -- and urged the new disciples to help fulfill the church's mission, as well as certain destinies for America and Alaska.

Pray for the construction of the $30 billion natural gas pipeline, Palin told them. Pray for the military men and women overseas, "that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God. That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for -- that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

Later, senior pastor Ed Kalnin -- with Palin standing at his side -- spoke about tapping into Alaska's natural resource wealth to fulfill the state's destiny of serving as a shelter for Christians at the end of the world.

"I believe that Alaska is one of the 'refuge states' -- come on, you guys -- in the Last Days," Kalnin said, raising his arm to underscore his point. "And hundreds of thousands of people are going to come to this state to seek refuge. And the church has to be ready to minister to them."

Ummm nice, real nice.

Teaching creationism? In state schools? The schools I pay for?...separation of church and state Sarah, you might have read that somewhere....take your addled and ancient ideals of how the world was made from monkey farts and rainbow wishes and teach your kids home school style...ooooo wait...teaching your kids isn't really your forte' is it?

I assume you taught right from wrong, good from bad, rubber from rhythm?

Outlawing abortion?...really?...from a mother of a unwed pregnant teen daughter?...lets play Republicans advocate and say she had been raped and became pregnant...then the baby was found to be terribly deformed because the rapist had been a severe drug user...would it be God's will then....are you the telphone for God's will Sarah?

Gimme a break, women of the world beware Sarah Palin will tell you what to think.

Now onto same sex marriage...so Sarah speaks for all religious beliefs?

Assuming that all religions do not condone same sex marriage, which obviously Sarah believes...so two tax paying, law abiding, hard working people who pay their bills, help the community and just are two people whom love each other don't meet Sarah Palin's criteria for what is right and wrong?

Wow she is a tough horn to tune.

Wait A Minute The President Keeps Telling Me The Economy Is Strong

The U.S. government seized control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac after the biggest surge in mortgage defaults in at least three decades threatened to topple the companies making up almost half the U.S. home-loan market.

It is necessary to take action,'' Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, who engineered the takeover along with Federal Housing Finance Agency Director James Lockhart, said in Washington today. ``Our economy and our markets will not recover until the bulk of this housing correction is behind us. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are critical to turning the corner.''

The Treasury will purchase up to $100 billion of senior-preferred stock in each company as needed to maintain a positive net worth.

It probably won't REALLY be a problem for us until it reaches an imaginary number like a gijazillion dollars.

That $100 billion...yeah that's our money...they sure are loose with it aren't they?

When they buy the preferred stock, that goes to the people whom are executives or the main owners, NOT public stock like you or I buy...don't worry that public stock will continue to be as worthless as it is now....so in essence the government is buying out the people with $100 million that were the ones who put the U.S. economy in such jeopardy in the first place.

Nice reward system we have in this country, its good to have friends in high places.

The circle jerk continues...

The New CEO's

Herbert Allison, 65, former chief executive officer of TIAA- Cref, will take over as Fannie's new CEO. David Moffett, 56, who was vice chairman of US Bancorp, will head Freddie, Lockhart said. They will work with existing management, he added.

Fannie CEO Daniel Mudd, 50, and Freddie CEO Richard Syron, 64, will serve in a transition period as consultants.

While common stockholders of Fannie and Freddie won't be eliminated under the conservatorships, they will be last in line for any claims, Paulson said. Preferred shareholders will be second in absorbing losses, he said.

Concern over the companies' capital pushed their borrowing costs to record levels over U.S. Treasuries, sent their common and preferred stocks tumbling and boosted mortgage rates. Fannie is down about 66 percent in New York Stock Exchange trading since the end of June. Freddie has fallen about 69 percent.

I say let the mortgage companies fail.

The only people it will really hurt are those ultra rich preferred stock holders, you and I can get our debt wiped free on our mortgages....whats the problem?

Publish the faces of those responsible in the news as those responsible but DON'T give them $100 billion of my money as punishment....that's just plain idiotic.

Oh wait...I keep forgetting they have friends in high places.

Obama Makes Sense On Mortgage Crisis

Aren't you tired of the government (us) forcing the middle and lower classes to bail out bad decision makers in the private sector.

I know I am .

I can't afford to bail out millionaires anymore.
