Phelps wins two more golds






Bob Bowman knows his horses.



He has a stable full of them back home at the Laurel Park race track in Maryland, where the former University of Michigan coach is headed for good after the Beijing Olympics. One of his favorite chores there isn't mucking the barn, though: It's naming the racehorses.



And Bowman, who spent the last four years coaching the U-M men and Club Wolverine elite swimmers in Ann Arbor, was asked recently why he hasn't named one of them after Michael Phelps.



"Well, it's a lot of pressure to put on a horse," laughed Bowman, who does have one named Going For Gold. "And I'm saving (the Phelps name) for one that bites me or something. I have this one named Vanderkaay and he's really nice, does we everything we ask of him "



At which point, Phelps interrupted his longtime coach, asking sarcastically, "I don't do that?
"Sometimes," Bowman replied, rolling his eyes.

Who cares?

The core mission statement of this website was really to complain about the job market in Michigan and how crappy the state and country is ran.

This Phelps guy is getting to me though, his life is now set because he can swim faster than sperm in a 5 dollar hooker.

Seriously where do our collective priorities lie?

Is it between U.S. security through employed citizens or can this guy beat the godless Chinese and be on a Wheaties box?

If I take this to it's far fetched and illogical conclusion it could even be considered porn.

But this guy swims for a living people...You and I actually produce things with our effort and labor, this guy makes a wake and on a good day some bubbles.

We make tax revenue for the Government which can be used to make bombs, this guy makes spank bank material for the homosexual community.

Aren't we JUST LIKE the Chinese?

The Chinese rebuild a whole city to fake out the world for these Olympics...the U.S. media talks up this guy like Americans are some kind of Uber-Human?

I don't know about you but I am all fucked up.

Better than you slackers in the rest of the world....because we just are Americans.

We are Americans...producer of the fastest swimmers.

Never mind our whole society is set up to produce these over achieving social retards who do NOTHING to better humanity on the whole...we are the best at it.

It used to be Americans...

Designed the best.

Built the best.

Helped the poor.

Cured Disease.

Rock and Roll.

Landed on the moon.

In America you could be something even if you started out as the little guy.

America and Americans used to be a breed apart, fair and just.

America and Americans used to stand for things...for purposes...real acheivements...now....now they/we just want things...medals...aclaim...notiriety....celebrity.

Substance and purpose are irrelevant...are you famous?
