Beatty Still Wiggling

The mayor, a Democrat, will leave office Sept. 18. Kilpatrick last week pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and agreed to a four-month jail sentence. He also pleaded no contest to assaulting a sheriff's detective.

Judge David Groner scheduled a 2 p.m. hearing for Monday for a "possible resolution" in Beatty's case.

Later, in a statement, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said an earlier offer to Beatty has been withdrawn. No details were released.

"We are ready to proceed. We will return to court on Monday as directed by the judge," Worthy said.

Beatty's lawyer, Mayer Morganroth, declined to say what's preventing an accord, but he suggested he wants to avoid trial.

"What would I like to see happen? I'd like to see her get on with her life," Morganroth said.

I like the way Crains says "The Mayor, a Democrat.." we democrats got enough problems Crains we didn't need you to pile on.

This lawyer Mayer Morganroth (yes thats his real name, Mayer to be ironic and Morganroth to fit the stereotype) gets around, he defended Doctor Jack Kevorkian you may remember.

So Beatty wants to get on with her life?

After having an affair with a married man in her role as right hand gal to the mayor of the 11th largest city in the country, fired people whom were tasked to investigate possible criminal activity that led them to the Manoogian Mansion and got too close to her affair, lied to a jury of her peers and a judge in a court of law, cost the city over $8 million dollars in the process.....NOW she wants to get on with her life.....yeah Christine wouldn't we all, wouldn't we all.

Welcome To Detroit
